1 Dec 2016

Denver, CO - December 2016 - The Carlsbad Department of Development (CDOD) recently attended the Defense Manufacturing Conference (DMC) in Denver, Colorado to recruit businesses in the aviation industry. Over 150 companies were in attendance at the conference, with over 1,000 conference attendees.

"We have been actively recruiting aviation related businesses for some time," said John Waters, executive director for the CDOD. "Last month we attended a conference in Orlando, and we made some great connections. This one was very good for us as well."

The DMC is where top government and industry leaders and manufacturing subject matter experts get together to communicate and collaborate on policies, strategic direction, best practices, funding opportunities, and the latest innovations in support of defense manufacturing priorities.

The CDOD is currently pursuing multiple projects associated with the aviation industry in Carlsbad.
