Carlsbad City Council accepts nearly $10K from State for library services

A nearly $10,000 grant from the New Mexico State Library (NMSL) could help operations at the Carlsbad Public Library.
The grant, accepted Nov. 9 by the Carlsbad City Council, was included in the City of Carlsbad’s fiscal year 2022 budget, read a memorandum written by City of Carlsbad Municipal Services Director Angie Barrios-Testa to councilors.
The grant-in-aid program was designed to supplement library collections, library staff development, library equipment and help with operational expenses associated with delivery of library services, read the agreement authored by NMSL.
