Xcel Energy Continues Expansion in Eddy County

CARLSBAD — Xcel Energy unveiled a new transmission line that will improve the power system for Eddy and Lea Counties on Tuesday.
According to a news release, the 230-kilovolt, 42-mile transmission line is the first step in a major expansion of a new bulk electricity transmission network in Southeast New Mexico.
