Brew anew: Carlsbad brewery gets second life in downtown revitalization

Lucas Middleton used to brew beer just to pass the time.
He started making his own craft brews in his apartment while studying geology at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
But after opening the second location for Milton’s Brewing, the brewery he founded with his friend Austin Weyant, Middleton solidified his place as a catalyst in Carlsbad’s growing dining and beer scene.
