Workforce secured for nuclear waste facility near Carlsbad and Hobbs

A potential supply of manpower for a proposed nuclear waste storage site near Carlsbad and Hobbs was provided as the company intending to build the facility signed an agreement with a consortium of 15 New Mexico construction and craft unions.
Holtec International proposed building a temporary storage facility for high-level spent nuclear fuel rods on a 1,000-acre property near the Eddy-Lea county line.
