EDD Announces New Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinator

SANTA FE, N.M. – The Economic Development Department (EDD) is excited to announce that Shani Harvie will be stepping into a newly created position as Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinator (JEDI Coordinator), EDD Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes announced today.
Harvie will be responsible for connecting minorityowned businesses and community organizations in underserved communities with economic development programs, resources, and opportunities. The position, approved through Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s office, will work to address systemic inequities and create equitable representation for all New Mexico businesses, while ensuring diversity and inclusion are prioritized moving forward.
