Bank Expands Services in Carlsbad

First American Bank is proud to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for First American Bank’s Carlsbad Banking Center.

First American Bank has been serving Carlsbad with a Loan Production Office (LPO) that opened in March, 2013. They will now build a new 4,800 square foot full-service location offering business, consumer, mortgage lending, and trust, investment and wealth management services. This state-of-the-art banking center will provide both traditional customer service with tellers and CSR’s and a ‘Tech Bar’ which allows customers to conduct their own transactions via online banking platforms.

Marjo Pace, Senior Vice President, a Carlsbad resident for over 35 years, will manage the banking center. She states, “First American Bank will be hiring local residents for the eight new positions. We have had tremendous community support with our LPO and are very excited to soon be serving the residents of Carlsbad with a full-service facility.”

“Although we have seen a cooling off in the oil prices, new commercial buildings continue to come out of the ground from one end of town to the other,” said Jay Jenkins, President of the Carlsbad Department of Development. “Our diverse community is really playing a key role to long term sustainable growth.  These are exciting times for Carlsbad and Southeast New Mexico.”

First American Bank will be opened and fully operational in late summer 2015. The architectural firm for the project is Decker/Perich/Sabatini of Las Cruces and the builder is Jaynes Construction of Albuquerque.
